Computer Support Technician

Position Summary

  • Providing technical support to CAPS staff, including software and hardware troubleshooting, software updates and guiding staff on computer related issues.
  • Primarily responsible for providing technical and/or software support at CAPS satellite locations.
  • Responsible for setting up new computers and installing and upgrading software.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as a team member with others providing technical services at CAPS.


Qualifications
  • Must be available for pre-semester training (week before classes start) and regularly scheduled meetings Fridays from 3-5pm
  • Knowledge of computer software and hardware
  • Highly responsible and motivated
  • Good troubleshooting and problem tracking skills
  • Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a busy environment with staff members, students, and the general public
  • Work-study is preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.
  • Work-study qualified.
