Position Summary
Provides specialized support to CAPS staff to include file management, software training, and software and hardware troubleshooting. Has considerable latitude in many tasks as well as primary responsibility for complex technical and/or software support. Responsible for setting up new computers and installing and upgrading software. Must be able to work independently and as immediate backup for the Technology Team at CAPS.
Qualifications
- Must be available for pre-semester training (week before classes start) and regularly scheduled meetings Fridays from 2-3pm
- Knowledge of computer software and hardware
- Highly responsible and motivated
- Good troubleshooting and problem tracking skills
- Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Experience working in a busy environment with staff members, students, and the general public
- Work-study is preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
- Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.
- Work-study qualified.
