CAPS Mission Statement
The Mission of Center for Academic Program Support is to enhance the academic success of University of New Mexico students by providing free peer tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and workshops covering a variety of academic issues. In addition, CAPS gives undergraduate and graduate student employees scholarly, pre-professional experience.

- Recognize and respond to learning differences
- Provide student-centered customer service
- Offer services at no charge to students
- Provide quality, nationally certified tutor training
- Promote effective working relationships with faculty/instructors, advisors, and Student Affairs personnel
