Scatterplots on the TI-83
- After you enter the data into two lists, press the WINDOW key and adjust the settings so that the ranges of X and Y include all the data (sorting the data beforehand makes it easier to find the maximum and minimum values of the X and Y variables).
- Press the 2nd key, then "SCATTERPLOT", then 1 (or ENTER) to select Plot 1.
- Press ENTER again to turn Plot 1 on. Press the Down Arrow key, then ENTER to select the first type of plot.
- Use the Down Arrow key to move to Xlist and Ylist, then change the X and Y list names if necessary. Finally, press the GRAPH key.
