Position Summary
Under supervision of CAPS staff coordinates the day-to-day operational activities of a specific function for CAPS. The duties focus on a single tutoring-related function (i.e., CAPS lab or individual tutoring, workshops, supplemental instruction, or liaison activities). Student managers are responsible for the efficient operation of these specific functions when CAPS staff supervision is unavailable, as is the case with lab tutoring at the SUB, Mesa Vista, off-site workshops, and selected liaison duties.



Qualifications
  • Must be available for a 15-20 hour work week
  • Must be available to attend pre-semester training (week before classes begin)
  • Must attend Friday training meetings from 3-4pm during the semester
  • Work-study is preferred but not required

  • Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.
  • Work-study qualified.


Duties & Responsibilities
  • Observes the ebb and flow of student usage.
  • Makes informed decisions and takes appropriate actions to maintain the productivity of CAPS programs.
  • Serves as an internal and external operational/administrative liaison.
  • Reviews and reports on function activities.

  • Take a copy of the Job Request with you to the interview.
  • Return signed workstudy referral to the student employment office with proper I9 documentation.
